My First Love

	
		Love is a word that is often misused,
		It's true meaning so severely abused.
		To some it's a fantasy to add thrill to life,
		To others, having a mate to share as husband or wife.
		While the latter is in God's plan we know,
		It just doesn't work unless God's in control.
		He has manifested His marvelous love,
		By sending His Son Jesus down from above.
		The world was hopelessly lost in sin,
		But God intervened for all women and men.
		To those who accept His salvation plan,
		Will experience a love far greater than man.
		As I give Him first place in my life,
		A joy unspeakable breaks through all strife.
		He grows dearer and greater as time goes by,
		And before long I'll meet Him in the sky.
		Until that call comes from up above,
		I'll serve Him fervently, 
		cause He's MY First Love.
