Introduction

TRUST in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding . . . In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. . . Prov 3:5-6

"Where Did We Come From?"

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them. I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded.Gen 1:26-28, Isa 45:12

"Why are we here?"

Ye that fear the LORD, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, "glorify him;"and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel. I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will "glorify thy name" for evermore. For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and "glorify your Father" which is in heaven. Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: That ye may with one mind and one mouth "glorify God," even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us "to the glory of God." And that the Gentiles might "glorify God" for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name. For ye are bought with a price: therefore "glorify God" in your Body, and in your spirit, which are God's. Ps 22:23, Ps 86:12-13, Matt 5:16, Rom 15:5-7, Rom 15:9, 1 Cor 6:20. (KJV)

I believe that each one of us has been given a "measure" of faith as the word of God says -- we have each been given certain abilities, talents, and giftings by God according to HIS good pleasure -- and the Bible says that God is "NO Respector" of persons. We are ALL equally important in His eyes. I believe, as Christians, each of us has a "part" -- no matter what our station in life....and that each of us, in our daily activities and lives is to Glorify God by using all that God has given to each of us to Glorify Him....by our example to others. And, I believe that the "key" to glorifying God in everything we do is to strive towards unconditional love towards our brethren. To have a heart for the poor, the helpless, and the lost -- to reach out to these people in our everyday lives -- no matter what our station in life. I don't think that we necessarily have to all go on the mission field -- our mission field is wherever God has us planted. I don't think God has set any limits on how much we can obtain -- as long as "it" does not become our God. The more we have, the more we are capable of giving. I think that would be a blessing.

There are many qualities / virtues that go into making us creatures that Glorify God...we are to strive towards becoming more like Christ in our every day life -- we are to cultivate the FRUIT of the Spirit in our lives,...love, joy, peace, goodness, faithfulnes, kindness, temperance. We are to be good stewards of our temples and of our money. HE has given us many examples in the Bible -- look at all the parables. The men with "talents". How they invest and use their time until the master comes at the end of the day. God did not appear to be happy with the man, even though he had little -- did nothing. God's word even says to him who has little -- if he squanders it -- will end up with even less -- and he who has much will gain more.

In EVERY area of our life -- I believe we are to strive to Glorify God by the way we interact with people, the way we take care of ourselves and our families. Everything we do should give Glory to God and reflect our relationship with Him. Our examples, our life-Styles, etc. should identify us with Christ.

"Where Are We Going?"

We are, each of us, going to either Heaven or Hell; That depends on whether we make a free will choice to believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ -- His death, burial and resurrection in our behalf. Rom 10:9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. The only unpardonable sin is to blasheme the Holy Spirt by rejecting Jesus Christ as our Saviour. If they have heard and have rejected Jesus Christ as their savior -- only judgment and hell awaits them. . . .because there names will not be found in the Book of Life. Ps 69:28 Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous. (KJV)

"Warning!" Rev 20:12-15 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
